A native of California, Kim has taught yoga and meditation, as well as creative writing, for over twenty years in places like Hawai’i, the Swiss Alps, the High Rockies of Colorado, and Vermont. She is the creator and voice of Lotus Wheel: Guided Meditations for Relaxation and Healing. Now based in Aotearoa, Kim is a seeker, surfer, creative, and healing arts practitioner.
Kim’s yoga journey began over 25 years ago when she had a serious health condition that prevented her temporarily from doing the action sports she’d grown up doing. She came to yoga humbled in her body, seeking a way to ground, connect to her own consciousness, and slowly nurture herself back to health. She has never looked back! Trained in Iyengar and Ashtanga styles and registered with Yoga Alliance, Kim teaches a vinyasa flow style of class, moving fluidly from one posture to the next but also mindful of form and, at intervals, holding the shapes that hold us! You will often see her taking hot yoga classes, as well. “Yoga has saved my life…more than once,” she says, and she means it in all the ways!
