Theresa first trained in the Satchidananda style of yoga in 2001. During that training she lived and breathed yoga 24/7 for a month, in the countryside, just out of Melbourne. She found it was wonderful to dive so deeply into the learning, surrounded by nature. The experience gave Theresa a real sense of the heightened awareness and profound peace that can come when you live slowly, and practise and meditate a lot.
After finding yoga in the hot room, Theresa completed a second teacher training with Hot Yoga New Zealand in Wellington in 2007. Following this Theresa worked at that studio full time for two years, teaching classes, running workshops and assisting with teacher trainings.
Having returned to her earlier occupation as a primary school teacher, Theresa teaches yoga part time, so she can practice more than she teaches. Theresa loves the reset that a yoga practise brings to both body and mind – and a school teacher’s mind can get very busy!
Theresa looks forward to sharing the journey of yoga journey with you.
